Wonderful example of a 1930-1940s Eisenberg Original brooch! The metal does indeed test as sterling silver; the stamp Mexico Silver is often seen on pre 1940s jewelry and is indeed sterling or better. The beautifully carved shell like stone is possibly a type of onyx often used in this companies finer work. A fabulous addition to anyones jewelry collection!
